Comment on God Can Do Miracles by Suzanne Wagner

I'm going to West Africa next week for a nine-week internship. Actually, I'm going to San Diego first on Monday, taking a van to Ensanada, Mexico just across the border, training for three days, and then going to West Africa. I'm super excited about this summer. The one little detail that's holding me back is the $3,000 I still have left to raise. I've been saying to myself and others, "It's going to take a miracle..."
I randomly decided to look up "miracle" pictures on Google Images just a few moments ago and this article caught my eye. After reading it, I was encouraged to thrust myself into God's arms despite my anxiety and relentlessly depend on His divine provision and His miraculous nature. It's no coincidence either that as I'm typing this, the song that's playing on my Itunes is "All I Need is a Miracle" by Mike and the Mechanics...
I've experienced His provisions like this in the past. I was raising money to go to China a few years ago and on the day that all my money was due, God provided through two individuals the $1,000 that I needed! I keep telling myself, "If He can provide $1,000 in one day, He can provide $3,000 in a week."
I read a quote as I was on Google Images that said: "I don't believe in miracles. I depend on them." I'm depending on His miraculous nature and His divine provision because raising $3,000 at this point is humanly impossible. With Him, it's possible.

Someone once pointed out to me that the Bible repeatedly tells us to TRUST in God and to LOVE one another (not to trust in one another). Seeing all of the "trust" passages reminded me of this truth. Amy

Dear lhommealenvers,

We appreciate your difference of opinion on our review, but we would ask that you offer a legitimate criticism rather than just bashing the video because it acknowledges God's role in the creation and design of the natural universe. Rather than ignoring science, as you claim, the DVD points out the amazing wisdom of God embedded within nature.

The "real science" you are claiming is absent is specifically acknowledged in discussions of the molecular structure of snowflakes, the reflective iridescence of a butterfly's colors, and the intense power generated by thunderstorms, as just three of many examples.

Nature and science are very amazing. We believe that they are God's creation. You may not believe the same, which is fine. However, please refrain from derogatory bashing of the opinion you don't favor. The science presented in the DVD is factual. The essence of where those scientific facts originate - God's plan or evolution - is where we differ. And there is ample evidence to suggest that the evolutionary theory is just that - a theory. While it may seem to be logical to some, evolution has not been conclusively proven.

Thank you for reading and taking time to comment. God bless you!

Don't waste your money on this junk. It is not a factual science based documentary and there are SO many good REAL and TRUTHFUL DVDs out there. The fact that this DVD completely IGNORES the science of nature is just SO FRUSTRATING. PLEASE don't allow your children to watch this as you don't want them to grow up ignorant...they need REAL education based on REAL science. Buy National Geographic's Journey to the Edge of the Universe instead!!! A MUCH better and FACTUAL option. This is simply a ridiculous sales video for religion and should not be taken seriously.

Steve - the short answers are Yes and No, but please listen the audio on the link in the article. The discussion on these topics helps make it clear and provides the Biblical foundation for the answers. If you have more questions after listening, please ask!

Take a bow David, you finished well. Many people have been touched by what you've written. May God bless you and your family as you serve Him in your next adventure. May God continue to bless JOTB.
